Welcome to . . .

AeroVJTI is the aero-modelling club of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
A student-run society, AeroVJTI promotes aero-modelling and design.

We design and build radio-controlled (RC) Aircraft and participate in various national and international competitions like SAE India and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Design/Build/Fly (AIAA D/B/F) held at USA every year.

Apart from these, we have also competed in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aero-Design in USA and Future Flight Design (FFD) held in Turkey.

We mentor our bright juniors to develop their own designs and models through various workshops conducted in schools and colleges.

The club also conducts awareness programs in various NGOs under 'PRATIGYA' to share our knowledge and enkindle interest in the field of aero-designing.

Our goal is to represent India internationally, to further develop the club's legacy, and popularise this field in India. We strive to reach the top by combining our expertise, experience, and ideas.

'AQUILA'

"The workshop is conducted for freshmen in the month of September, wherein the students learn how to build a radio-controlled plane designed by the club members. The two-day workshop starts with lectures on the basics of aerodynamics, stability and structuring followed by construction of the plane."

'JETSTRIKE'

"The JetStrike Workshop, held primarily for school students in the second half of the academic year, involves new construction techniques and materials to work with. The students construct a scaled Depron model of the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor under the supervision of our team. The workshop lasts one day and consists of informational lectures and construction sessions.

'DESIGN WORKSHOP'

"The students are guided through the processes involved in designing a radio-controlled plane, which are then taught to the freshmen, along with the concepts involved in designing a simple RC plane. The entire design of the aircraft is created by students. XFLR5, SOLIDWORKS, MotoCalc, Fusion 360, and other software are introduced and used."

'DRONAGIRI'

"By far the largest aircraft ever built by Team Vayuputras of AeroVJTI, Dronagiri was designed as a UAV capable of storing syringes and deploying environmentally-sensitive vaccine vial packages."

Forest

'BRAHMASTRA'

"With a 3 m wing span and a 20 kg payload-carrying capacity, the aircraft Brahmastra consisted of an IC engine-driven propulsion system and was developed in response to the 2012 SAE Aero Design Challenge."

Forest

'BATALEUR'

"This was designed for the purpose of carrying out a detailed study of swept wing aircraft. Once a hand-launch glider it was later converted to an RC aircraft and turned out to be highly efficient."

Forest

'HAMMINGER'

"Hamminger was AeroVJTI’s entry into DRDO for the nationwide student defense innovation championship. It made use of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) and had a plus configuration tail with a canard nose surface life. "

Forest

'JATAYU'

"JATAYU was designed in response to the 2019 AIAA D/B/F Competition. The designed aircraft had to perform reconnaissance and attack missions as well as drop payloads while in flight. The plane was also required to remotely unfold its wings and then take off from a ramp."

'THE F22 RAPTOR'

"The aircraft is built during the Jetstrike workshop conducted for budding students in AeroVJTI to explore advanced delta wing aircrafts with stealth characteristics."
